I cannot find my sneaker,
My red and orange sneaker,
It was not on the stair,
It was not under the chair.
I cannot find my sneaker

I was not in my room
I did not find it by the broom
It was not by the pots and pans
It was not by the garbage cans
The sneaker shall be my doom!

My sneaker! Oh! My sneaker!
Where ever did I leave her?
Did I leave it near or far?
Is it in the backyard?
I cannot find my sneaker!

My mother has not seen it?
Maybe my dog has eaten it?
It was not in the swimming pool.
I am such a fool
I haven't found a bit!

I searched high and low
And then I found it...on my toe
It was with me the whole time
No longer will I have to cry
And I always have it where ever I go.

I have found my sneaker
My red and orange sneaker
I am such a silly child
But now I always have a smile
Because I have found my sneaker

We had to write a poem in English class in 20 minutes. Voila! I usually don't write happy poetry, but it was raining and I needed something to cheer me up.

This sort of reminds me of Dr. Suess. I can't say how many times I've done this. Lost something to realize it was exactly where I left it.
