Observer

Closed lips,
Bright eyes...
Forced to
watch them
read your lines...
that you took the time
To painstakingly
intertwine into something
beautiful.....
Something powerful.
Something etched in
Your design....

But... No.
Your speech was
DENIED.
Never given the chance
to speak your mind...
But your lips ease into
A smile,
Because one day,
You will be stronger
Than the scorn....
One day,
You will be stronger
Than the hatred
you have faced...

As the Observer,
I had wanted to know
What lies behind...
But I understood
You by your
Closed lips...
and Bright eyes...

Because that once was me.
