“Mon Chéri,”
He said to me
As I tried to run away.
He caught my hand
And like a band,
I flung to him straightway.
My tears, they fell,
He dared not yell,
And not to my dismay.
He kissed my ear
And held me near.
I’ve loved him since that day.
