Some people can tell
Some not so well
But in Caesar and Oedipus
The women can tell very well
They use intuition
To foretell the future
But alas
Their husbands still don't listen
They are treated poorly
Like dirt on the floor
So hopefully the men regret
Their deeds in hell

Portia
Brutus' wife
Had a 'man's mind but a women's might'
Yet
Brutus still put up a fight
She foretold of a 'bustling rumor'
That in turn came true
So Brutus can't say he never knew
She was so faithful
Loved her husband so well
She gave a 'voluntary wound'
To prove her right to know
Of the conspiracy
That came to show
Very shortly after

Calpurnia
Caesar's wife
Had a bad dream of Caesar dying
Sadly Caesar thought
She was lying
She saw the 'drizzled blood' in the air
But he still
Didn't care
And when it came true
Caesar knew
To trust his wife
But sadly, that moment came
When he lost his life

Jocasta
Oedipus' wife
Predicts the truth
But isn't believed
She lets her doubts deceive
Her innate knowledge
Of her husbands death
She believes that,
'Chance rules our lives'
But chance isn't in her prediction
Cause it was true

Portia, Calpurnia, and Jocasta
Used this intuition
To foretell the future
In this situation
It still ended in tragedy
But they tried to prevent it all
Sadly they were ignored
So their husbands did fall
And it came
The end of it all
