The First Game
As the balls flight is stopped by the tattered and torn leather of the mitt.
The crowd cheers for him and gives him the essential boost in spirit he has longed for.
This process is repeated twice more increasing his level of confidence and comfort.
This is the good life he thinks, he can't believe what he feels as it is the first time in his life he feels accepted.
The increase in his pride makes him realize that his pitches have increased in both speed and accuracy.
The tattered glove walks to him with congratulations, the catcher asks him to not throw so hard and at that moment he realizes that his passion drove him to his limits during that first game of baseball.
