My Garden
You were my very own Eden,
I thought you were sent by God to accompany me through this short journey of life.
You were paradise- you came with every necessity I would ever require.
But then it came the forbidden fruit that showed itself-
Deeper inside the forest of you.
I thought I wouldn't be tempted,
By the utopian part of you - the only side I cared to see.
But then came your tempting fruit,
That I refused to touch,
But you gave me an offer I couldn't refuse.
A nibble here and there turned to everywhere
I got sick-
Of you,
Of this evil side of you that only made me feel worse once I had gotten my share.
I tried to spit you up but the damage was done.
Your secret was revealed to me and I shouldn't have known
I knew too much and couldn't stay
Your fruit gave me new knowledge,
But I lost my old.
Your fruit gave me bravery,
But I lost my discretion.
Your fruit gave me a glimpse of my future,
But I lost my past'
My past,
Your past,
Our past.
In you- my very own Eden.
Just one more thing:
Enjoy!
