Makes us wonder,
Will it be half or full tonight?
Comes out floating in the sky.
Filled with loneliness,
Shows up big and shine,
Stays high white as a seashell.
Bright and peaceful,
Looks down upon the city lights
Spends the night awake below the skies.
Covers up the darkness,
Protects us from the nightmares.
Gives the lover inspiration,
And the faithless unanswered questions
Announces the nights,
As it comes slow and bright.
