Devotion
I always knew what i was put on this earth for
I always knew it would take my life
I always knew i would give my life for it
But i never knew that a loss would feel like a forfeit
What do you do when what you protect starts to die?
As much as you help you cant make that one thing fight
What do you do when they die?
What do you do when the murderers were like angels in disguise?
What do you do when they kick that dead body?
What do you do when they leave it there, when it can be saved
What will I do to these murderers?
As i wait eternally, for life to be regained
I come to quams that that life will never be the same
Always weak in parts because the scars bare their names
But i will protect even more so than yesterday
Protect another who was like me, tortured and slain

this is NOT about actually physical harm, its like putting a metaphor on emotional feelings.
