Because I am Me
I wish I was beautiful.
Something I’ll never say to myself is,
I love myself to the fullest.
Instead, I will always think,
I am ugly, I am fat, and I am imperfect.
There are some people who say
I know I am beautiful.
But even at my highest high or lowest low,
I cannot be the girl that I dream to be.
I will never feel like
I am as perfect as I can be.
Because I am me

This is a reversal poem, so read it from top to bottom, then from bottom to top. The poem has contrasting views about body image and self-esteem, and to everyone who reads this, you are beautifl, no matter what!
