One Day
Darkness' slowly
Black to Navy, Navy to Blue
Strokes and brushes of color
First purples then pinks
Splotches on floating cotton
Elegant streaks on flat canvas
Gradually, most colors fade
Only blue spectrums remain
(accented in times by grey)
Characters etched
Fluffy tigers or stringy serpents
Playing on canvas
Filled in, fuller
Shaded to three dimensions
Billowing grays, tangible blacks
Dominating the canvas
Anger manifested by brush strokes
Dissipating into sorrow
Blurred figures run together
Eventually, to fall'
Disappearing form the canvas
Left only, a base of blue
Each layer fades
Fluffy tigers to mere wisps
Finding again cotton candy splotches
Then blue
Blue to Navy, Navy to Black
Slowly' Darkness
