Water splashes in my face
Cool breeze reappears
Rainbows show in water’s mist
With sun glimmering through rocks.

I was inspired to write this tanka after traveling to the Yosemite for the first time. It was really an amazing experience that I will never forget. I took a hike up to the top of Yosemite Falls, saw the view, and got inspired. I hope this will put an image in your minds of what the Yosemite Falls looks like if you've never been there. I hope you guys enjoyed this. I have really begun to take a liking to poetry.
