Within Seconds
his eyes dart from a girl to another
looking down a red cup filled with poison
music blaring in his face
laughing at everything
him and her latch eyes
opening his door, a girl opens another
they cruise off
his eyes slowly blink
a change of color
green
yellow
red
the choice he could make
his life on the line and another
a humming and he keeps going
a screech, two, three
glass shattering
metal ripping apart
he’s awake
heart pounding vigorously against his bones
seeing a girl he doesn’t even know lying ahead
blood flowing from her head
sirens blaring
he rests his head on the concrete
and never wakes up from this horror
