metaphor poem
Pennies in a world of quarters
Do you ever feel like a penny?
Small, worthless, always being tossed around.
It’s like you’re just sitting on the sidewalk
waiting for someone to pick you up.
For someone to see
that it's worth their time
to pick up a penny
and be grateful for it.
Feeling useless and abandoned.
Wanting someone to just simply be there.
For someone to care.
