I still think about you
I still think about you sometimes
Even after all that has happened
Even after all this time
I remember when we snuck out that summer
and how we rode our bikes to the beach
It hurts to think about the good memories
and how there will never be any more
I don't really remember
how you and me
became a we
I don't really remember
how we
became a you and me
Sometimes things break or fracture or fall apart
You and I always thought we'd be different
We were not
We were the same
We drifted and separated
Until there was nothing
Except for emptiness
Except for hurt
Except for resentment
And Unanswered Questions
I still think about you sometimes
Even after all that has happened
Even after all this time
