I left myself lying
In the dark
So that I may finally
See my stars.
That break through
This velvet night
Glowing embers
Even if slight.
They rise from the ashes
To ignite a spark
That kindles a flame
In this empty heart.

Favorite Quote:
"The truth with a bad intent, is worse than any lie you can ever invent."
"You are smarter than you think. You are stronger than you look. You are braver than you feel."

Short and sweet. Definetly uplifting.

Simple and uplifting. You really capture the quiet sense of staring at the sky and musing on life's meaning.

:)

I've always wanted to write about the stars, but i want to wait until the best description comes to my mind.

Thanks.

I love the night.

Its so beautiful, its always comforting to know we're not all alone looking at the stars.

I really like this poem. I've spent many a night myself staring at the stars, longing to discover what secrets they clutch in their frozen selves. Lovely poem.
