Footprints in the snow
When I went to catch the bus this morning
I saw your footprints in the snow lead to the door and then, walk
You couldn't even
get the nerve
to ring the bell and tell me
face to face
Instead at 10:52
I got a text saying it's not you
but we're still through
When I saw you the next day
You had a look about you
hat said nothing, I looked the other way.
You couldn't even get the nerve.
You were like your footprints in the snow they fade and eventually it's like they were never there
