My Dining Room Table
For numerous people it’s a room never used.
But for my family it’s the most favored.
It supplies us a place to talk.
It allows us to sort our issues out.
Because days are occupied.
We all go our separate directions.
I leave to middle school.
My brother proceeds to high school.
My mom works somewhere,
and my dad works another.
We use our time together wisely.
For, we know this won’t last.
Next year my brothers sets off to college,
and the table will soon remain at three.
And then it’s my turn…
leaving the table left at two.
But our parents have let us fly.
And now it’s our turn,
to create our own dining room tables.
The place of all family moments.
The place where I will remember forever.
My dining room table…
My favorite place.

What insipired to me to write this piece is that i've been noticing that families are forgetting about something extremely important. They are forgetting to talk to eachother, to forgive eachother and to love eachother. The real meaning of family is together and forever it shall be. Through thick and through thin the ones that are always there for you is your family. Enjoy the years you have left sitting right there in that comfy spot. Love the people around you while you have them.
