Songbird So Sweet

a voice sings clear above the rest
awkward, insecure, but surely the best
and all that follow after spring to tears
because there's no way that they'll ever be better than you, dear
and some will practice for many many years
but you're still better, even with your fears
a voice sings like a bird sprung from its nest
and I think, I really think
that it's yours I like best.
