The aftermath of mush turns to stone.
Evolutions of old things are stuck in ruins.
Companions to my side sprout black holes.
Knives sear through the blades of grass.
Collective hearts swallow rust like a disease.
The mosquito sinks its teeth into foreign lands.
Modern technology handing me dead batteries.
River logs clogs the boat in its place.
A child stumbling to fly.
Whispering architecture erupts in flames.
Humanity is pregnant with polluted tears.


The author's comments:

In English Class we were assigned to create a monostich. This was hard to do because it does not follow a narrative, the lines form their own unique meaning connected through fast food.
