Lord of the Flies Found Poem
All Innocence Lost
The Lord of the Flies
A pig’s head on a stick.
“Do our dance! Come on! Dance!”
“Kill the beast!
Cut his throat!
Spill his blood!”
Simon knelt on all fours
His face empty of expression
The littluns screamed
The hunters took their spears
The crowd surged
Leapt on to the beast, screamed, struck, bit, tore
