To Make Amends
Outside my window I see the rain
Falling around leaves of colors that change
With each day a smile I try to feign
Hours passed with words not exchanged
The day you left, you took a piece of me
You know? An empty hole in my heart
Only to be filled by your plea
And the regrets of your depart
Another day I see a horrid storm
And then your shadow comes to view
Your mouth preaching words of reform
Your face alight with a golden hue
“I’m sorry to cause you such despair dear
Come back here. Your smile makes me see clear”

This student worked on a video project for me. Had I known she had such writing talents, I would have had her working on some parts of the script, not merely memorizing it.
enjoyed reading..not about to try to dissect. Mrs. Y.
