I embrace uniqueness with a gentle swoop
Inviting everybody to join us within the American loop
Rising up from many colonies to be united as one,
Our American journey has now begun
Guiding an exodus of people to now be my own,
We as a nation have tremendously grown
From the Civil War to civil rights,
To the Trail of Tears and many dark nights
Nevertheless these faults knit us together
So closely that our bond would never sever
2015, here we are
Accomplishing many things and transcending the stars
America, the Church of diversity
Stands together in utter certainty
No matter what we face,
Consequences and disgrace,
Unity is our strongest connection
And that can never take away our affection
For our mother, our guide, our home
Our America

My inspiration for this poem came from the deep patriotism I hold for America. When you're truely inspired, the words flow from your soul, which is exactly what happened with this poem.
