Not a love song or a goodbye
I give you a memory
It is a pain to recall
It promises forgiveness
like the smell after a rain
Here.
It will make you miss me
like the runaway wind
It will make you wonder why
why you ever let me go
I am trying to forget you
Not a love song or a goodbye
I give you a memory
It’s sharp pain will remind you,
passion and jealousy
as we were
for as long as we were.
Take it
Its all you left me with
hurting
Its scent will cling to your being
cling to your life
