Autumn sunshine pours in
Playing with the falling leaves,
Hollow shadows dancing on the wall.
Awaken to a cool breeze,
Chilling the fresh coffee in your hands
And speaking of the snow to come.
Consciousness awakens as well
To find the world turning,
Dropping with the darkened leaves
And leaving childhood among the raked-up piles,
Forever buried beneath the fallen snow.
