Nothing Remains
Nothing Remains
The trident punctured my crimson heart
The barrage of words from his mouth
Obliterated the core of my confidence
And executed my hope
He put his hand over my bitter shoulder
More words hit me like the arrows of an archer
More words struck me like the solid force of a mace
More words brutally murdered my pride
He left as quiet as a nimble assassin
Cold blood shimmered down my delicate veins
Yet, I could only surrender
Nothing remains
