At last the sun sets on the late even of this year
But as it settles on its horizon a new moon appears
florescent in its beaut it surpasses all mindless disputes
going above the things of the old day
illuminating a light to shine in the new ways
providing a path of new opportune and days to be better
wistfully washing the storms and bad weathers
clearing away the rains of yesteryear pains
with it coming a new poem to be rhymed
with it singing a sweet love to be chimed
already thinking of a careful book to be wrote
on the brink of a historic time to be spoke
of course the many goals to be met
disappointments and regrets
and as the clock strikes
and Cinderella's shoe takes flight
we make wishes
and grant good luck kisses
burdening goodbyes
Shouting SURPRISE
humbly mumbling thanks for our blessings
bitterly battering curse and agonies
now to recall an age of new tragedies
trying not to fall on this day of new gravities
all spinning relentlessly in this crock pot of time
the new eve of 2009
