The Road to Perfection
It's a long road back to perfect.
I knew a man once who said he'd been to the top and back.
He said that amongst the angels, he was the defect.
He said he lost himself in an ideal that threw him out of track.
Never again did he try to walk that road.
But right here, right now,
It calls to me.
Said it has something melodic for me; quite possibly an ode.
But I won't take up that vow.
Perfection sounds luxurious, but I'll get lost in it's sea.
