How can you live life with no one to trust?
I put everything out on the line
My thoughts.
My feeling.
My faults.
My up giving’s.
What’s worst than having someone knowing you so well
And telling the world
“She’s got secrets.”
“Her life isn’t perfect.”
“Her heart is heavy.”
“She’s always complaining.”
I feel like you don’t know who to trust in this generation.
They’ll become your best friend
Listen to secrets.
They’ll tell you they love you
Don’t really mean it.
But I don’t want to talk of lost friends and lost love.
I’ll admit without shame that’s really all that it was,
How can you live life with no one to trust?

“How can you live life with no one to trust?” is about giving someone everything and they use it to their advantage by telling the world and then lying about it. Micah uses the white space around each line where she tells what is being done. She also shapes the poem in a stair step form showing that she is being let down. The hardest decision she decides to make was putting the title at the end so that she didn’t give away the last sentence. Although to most people would have used the repletion in their favor.
