As you exert yourself upon me,
my tender heart concaves.
Your face screeching with fury and
your innocent, blue eyes ignite into
face-melting flames.
As fear steams through my body,
sweat begins dripping off my vulnerable face.
Scolding me and reminding me of the courage
that I do not contain.
You expel your emotions upon my frigid body,
melting and burning every frail bone
of strength.
They enter through my uncovered eyes,
blurring my vision and blinding me
from my own strength.
Seeping through my eyes,
Your toxic smoke seeps into my every crevice,
deteriorating my last branch of faith.
Smoke begins trickling down my defenseless lungs,
my breathing becomes shaky,
inhaling each flame.
Now I surrender to your heated attack,
as your harmful emotions permanently smolder me,
leaving me unable to take one more clean breath.

One of the 4 poems I wrote that mimic Sylvia Plath's style of writing poetry.
