Summer Anticipation

Summers almost here,
Cant you just hear children shrieking with laughter
Cant you hear the wind whispering summer secrets
Can you feel the water rushing against your feet,
Feel it washing away all your problems

Sometimes it feels as if summers just out of reach,
That its just brushing against our finger tips
Taunting us with the memories of past summers
And the summers that await us

All we can do is wait, wait for summer to approach us
To take away the school and the work
And replace it with the suntans and beaches

The waits almost over though,
