when did the world become so complicated?
to the point where I'm debating and contemplating whether or not my smile is genuine,
betrayal seems to be the trend,
as were so to offend and so relentless to pretend,
we are stuck in the idea that no one is out friend,
nothings authentic anymore,
but just a mere performance for the social media that begs for the attention of our envous enemies,
who knows what happiness even means?
caught up in a world full of material things,
no one is really free,
but stuck in the mindset of our generation,
in a denying sleep we'll never awaken,
caught up in the hype that our peers are making,
so easily controlled, so easily taken,
destitute of anything that is truely pure,
but more concerned about our reflection in the mirror, or who's inferior,
but to truly feel like they belong

this is the world and how we made it,
I just dont know when it got so complicated
