I Wondered
I wondered if you'd ever notice me,
the days go by, and it doesn't seem so.
Images of you in my mind won't leave,
If you don't love me, please, just let me go.
Our eyes lock and for a moment I'm free,
Once yours leave mine, I'm frozen, here I'll stay,
basking in all my insecurities,
waiting for them to come again my way.
But you greeted me unexpectedly.
Spilling out your heart which was just like mine.
All those years waiting, waiting, patiently.
And all I've got to say: it's about time.
I wondered if you'd ever notice me.
All those years I waited so patiently.
