Midnight Wonders
I lay here on the grass tonight,
Watching all the stars in sight,
Hoping the sun will never rise,
I listen for the wolves' cries,
I stare at the deep, dark depths of the lake,
Wishing I would never wake,
All he does is stare at me,
And it makes me wonder what there is to see,
I ponder on this question all through the day,
Thinking about what I should say,
Liking him as much as I do,
It makes wonder 'Does he like me too?'.
