Autumn
Autumn
Underfoot,
Crunching leaves sprawl sleepily upon the ground.
No longer longing to be the greenest envy of Spring,
But to bring vibrant colour to the ground.
A crisp breeze to whip the foliage into a frenzy.
Shades of bronze, gold, red, and orange entangle me in their beauty,
As little pieces catch in my hair.
It is on days like these where it is no wonder I feel at peace.
It is on days like these where I would never wish to go inside.
It is on days like these where I bundle up in my jacket and hat to spend hours in nature’s autumn splendor.
And its these days where I love spending countless hours being with you.
