The City Morgue
You try to lock me up,
But I just want to hide.
You want to wake me up,
But I've already died.
You slide me in the drawer,
You lock me up and leave.
I want to cut my pain out,
But there's no blood to bleed.
I had died a week ago,
A tear you didn't shed.
When you're the one that killed me,
You're the one that made me dead.
Now I'm locked up in a steal wall,
The cold already took over me.
I try and reach for the stitch,
You took the movement from me.
Soon I'll be reborn,
Just to take your life.
The bullet wound was deep,
But it was all just spite.
Even though I loved you,
You were once my life.
Now that I have none,
I will be the one to end the strife.
Since my eyes can't open,
Then I guess I must sleep.
So when you bury me,
Make sure I'm buried deep.
