the window

Beyond the window lies another world.
Happy, carefree, calm.
Children playing happily ,
and people fall in love, young love.
I gaze in wonder through this window, knowing.
I’ve been there,
happiness will become depression,
carefree becomes stress,
calm will become war.
And the window will break.
It will shatter as though shot.
Crack, blur, die.
This wonderful window will be dead.
Bombed over and over, relentlessly.
The war will pollute the youth
and the window will fog.
The fragments will pierce the skin

and the soul,

And the heart.
As it kills the wrong that broke the window to begin with.
The revenge will clean the smog
and the scenery will return.
Happy, carefree, calm.
And history will repeat itself.

This is the third poem i've come across in about ten minutes by this author. I think you are great. Really, all of your words they scream at me. I can relate very easily to all of them i have read. you should definetly continue writing.
