I wear my pink converse proudly
As I do my many silver bangles, that slap against my wrist every time I move
I watch the raindrops fall--proudly
As I do the sunshine, illuminating the entirety of my bedroom
I laugh with my friends; proudly
As I do the silly squirrels fighting over an acorn, sitting on the branch of a tree in my front yard
I smile at everyone I pass, proudly
As I do the beauty that Mother Nature has graciously supplied me with
I wear my individuality proudly, seeing as though it's

The author's comments:
Of all my thirteen years in this world, I've only recently stumbled upon the subject of individuality. I think this piece spills the emotions I have about who I am. I'm so incredibly proud to stand here today and say that I really AM who I am! I want everyone to feel that way.
