That Girl
She would walk in the hallways,
Head held high,
Eyes sparkling with gold.
She would gather in a group,
Being the center of attention.
The one everyone knew.
The one everyone loved.
She would ace everything,
Be the genius of the class,
Be the best at it all.
But on January 7th, she failed a test.
She slipped into the hallways,
Head bent low,
Tears glazed with grayness.
She was no longer the best,
No longer everyone’s friend.
She was the outcast.
She would cry at night,
Scream until she was hoarse.
Her life was ruined.
Her world was shattered.
She was only 15!
She soon became “that girl”
She slipped into a black cloud
Dazed and Confused.
Angry and Depressed.
One time and she failed,
One time!
Life was not fair,
Nor life for a thousand others.
