Favorite Quote:
"A writer has unlimited power, yet he is powerless. He can create people, worlds, universes, and places you want to be in more than the real world; with the stroke of a pen. But at the same time he can only create. He can't really change the world."

Breathe and breathe that gift of fire
Bodies were made to push and transcend forevermore
For when the sky knocks, it shall know if you aspired

I beg of you to ascend the insurmountable spire
Your heart was fostered in flame to explore
Breathe and breathe that gift of fire

Bitter, gnarled men seek to extinguish the fresh pyre
But you will love all, even in paramour
For when the sky knocks, it shall know if you aspired

Limits are only found on the cusp of the dire
Your true soul exists out, far away from the shore
Breathe and breathe that gift of fire

Fate will not oppress the burning desire
The unknown horizon is the wild blue you choose to soar
For when the sky knocks, it shall know if you aspired

Spread your inferno, you shall be the embalmed squire
Your words will violently blow open their door
Breathe and breathe that gift of fire
For when the sky knocks, it shall know if you aspired

The author's comments:
A villanelle in vain of Dylan Thomas's "Do Not Go Quietly Into That Good Night". It's for those of us that dare to push known boundaries, find their own limits and set new ones, and explore the world around them because they feel like its their duty as a human.
