Always Leaving
Pearly slow tears
Hidden from the harsh light
To keep the pain
From every one's sight
I cuddle myself tight
And try to find my original
Warm state of denile
Which has nothing to do
With the long long river
Or my mother being a social worker
But now the barrier was broken
My heart feels split in two
Suddenly my mind accepts
That you won't be here
Quite soon
And I'm worried I wasn't
Good enough
Or there enough
To make the time truly count
I'll threaten you until you
Keep contact
And maybe we'll make it through
But right now
With Jennys and Jills and Joes
Brushing through my ears
There's a little girl
Who's crying over here
