Finding Her Mind.
Face upwards to the sun
Drinking rays of times long passed
Arms stretched out reaching
Towards dreams too far away
Spinning in circles
Laughing with her eyes closed
And her mouth wide open
Ringlets of hair flying
Worries momentarily invisible
Sadness kidnapped by hope
Replaced by smiles sincere
And a heart with no cracks
A passerby might think she was a child
Or maybe someone who’d lost her mind
But if only they knew that in this moment of bliss
She’d found it once again
