Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to remain with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat

The days fly past my window
And shatter on the ground
Somehow I feel much older
Each time I hear that sound

The crescent moon looks lonely
The pale ghost of a sigh
I would make conversation, only
He's so very shy

And the stars keep laughing at him
The sun beats on his face
I wonder if he'd like my box
Of tissues just in case?

My room is getting colder
So I start to spin around
Until the stars are spirals
And I'm tilting toward the ground

But now I feel much warmer
And the days are finally slowing
So I'll just keep on lying here
Until the wind stops blowing
