Once Upon A Time

Different names, like Mary Jane,
or cannabis, or weed,
Kept him on a rolling stage in his drive to succeed.
Performing on his strings of steel,
He made his uphill climb,
Encouraging a world of peace,
One puff at a time.
Death would take him far too young,
All would miss his rhyme,
Oh what i'd give to hear him sing,
Just one note at a time.
