My Lady, Rose
Though I have seen many a rose,
You have stood out to me.
For in the valley, where you pose,
You are the one I see.
Lovely, I see you on a plain,
Your eyes glow bright and blue.
Rose, Rose, what a beautiful name.
Almost lovely as you.
Your light red hair blows in the wind,
And my heart beats faster.
And though to you I may have sinned,
We’ll make it good after.
And I see you in the same place.
You’re dancing through the fields.
No one has the light of your face,
Thus may our love be sealed.
