I’m drowning in laziness,
Cracked leather and tea,
I’ve lost my way in a maze
Of musty pages
And crumbly shortbread cookies.
I am well suited to
Accumulated calories
And fictional worlds.
But reality’s sirens
Scream of homework
And responsibilities
That can’t be put off
At least not any longer.
So reluctantly,
I put down my book, and wipe
The crumbs of indulgence away.

Favorite Quote:
"If you build your house far enough away from Trouble, then Trouble will never find you."

"Have you ever looked fear in the face and said, 'I just don't care.'?"

I swear, I feel like this all the time! Beautiful poem :)
