Life of Music
Softly as the music goes.
From what
No one knows
To what
It goes in groves
This I suppose.
For each beat
A heart it encloses
To some
It is a bouquet of roses.
To others
It is a striking knife,
Or the end of life.
Music is as music does
In the silence it strives.
In the chorus of life
Uncaring it glides.
For the destination is unknown
As it sits upon its airy throne.
In never fails
As us it bothers.
But when it wails
It is over.
As even music
Will become the past.
