"Writing eases my suffering. It's my soul's medicine. I write when I hurt. I write what I fear. Writing is my form of personal freedom. I write to save myself. I write to survive as an individual."
~Amor Magner

Our world is drowning in sorrow.
It is wrong to believe that
We have something to live for.
It is evident that
Nothing matters anymore.
It is wrong to believe that
Something exists in this world besides pain and grief.
I know
We can’t rely on anybody else, but ourselves.
It is a lie that
We can be truly happy.
I know that
Misery will consume the rest of our waking lives.
It is false that
Not all people are liars and backstabbers.
The truth is that
Trusting people will only hurt you.
It is not true that
There is hope.
I have learned that
Love only results in pain.
It has never been true that
People are loved for who they truly are.
I know that
We have to hide our emotions, using our faces as masks.
It is not true that
There are others like us.
I know now, that
We are alone.
It is a lie that
We can be helped.
I know that
Depression hurts.
