Death at the Finish Line

The crowd cheers but I am so very calm.
The loud noise and tremors create a plight.
Smoke, fire, blood, and, melee fill my sight.
Oh all the bloody chaos from this bomb.
Agony and pain all from this napalm.
I feel my body giving up the fight.
A time where all I can say is goodnight.
Pray for my journey and recite a psalm.
