When i was little/I used to point a chubby finger toward the dark sky/And ask my father/why some stars moved and others didn’t/He would laugh and explain that some were airplanes/I still wish on them today ~ Laugh-It-Out
The feathers of a crow are black/The ink of my pen is blacker/The pain of my heart is blackest~ Mckay
If love produced a blossom/I’d take it in my palm/What a blessing, the bright color!/How soothing, such a balm!/I’d keep a petal for my own/The rest, drop from my hands/For such a flower would multiply/And populate the lands~ thesilentraven
And I began to rival legends/Long entombed before my birth./But for all my much envied fame/The lust for more would not abate./The plaques and prizes with my name/Will, like all things, disintegrate. ~ TheEpic95 now known as Helena_Noel

Gazillion diamonds shower down on me,
Every droplet cries, “I’m free, I’m free!”
An ice-cold shock touches my cheek,
And when it rains all else is bleak.
Prince or pauper, the same to all;
Whenever, wherever, however it may fall!
A poet or painter or writer could not but say:
“When it rains, ‘Tis a joyous day.”
The roses embossed with tiny pearls,
A scene of utter beauty unfurls.
With a splash, my sense of touch tingles,
And when it rains, nature with it mingles.
Ere turning in and submitting to dreams,
I smile to myself, for the land gleams…

Ah, yes of course so t'was no surprise either when I saw that you'd chosen to read this one :) Why, thank you. I used to write only rhyming poems a while back, nowadays I've been writing a lot of Haiku and free-verse.  And thank you so much. I do love this poem for all those very things. Well, no matter how many faults a mother can't help but love her child eternally, though this one if kind of in my favourites :P    And come on, I loved reading your poems. It was awesome. I even subscribed  to get emails if you post any new stuff. That's how much I liked it. So you better post some stuff soon!

Life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments which take your breath away.

You are only as strong as your weakest link.

I LOVE the rain, as you can tell by my screen name :P I think you did a great job with the rhyming here, it's natural and not forced. I cannot write rhyming poetry for the life of me. Your imagery was also beautiful, especially the roses line! And lastly, thanks for all the comments you left on my poems! :)

Hello! It's been awhile, hasn't it? I'd always come and read your work! And I don't know what happened.. I've missed your poetry! By the way, thank you for the wonderful comment you left on my poem 'Princesses'! I'm glad you liked it! Well, I plan to visit your page more often to read your lovely work. I enjoyed this so much! Moving away from the south and the wonderful rain we'd always get I now live in the desert where I rarely see rain.. oh, I miss it! You did a wonderful job conveying your love for the rain in a simple little poem. Which brings me to my next point, this poem has lovely delicate simplicity, just as the rain does! I also love the add-ins of dialogue. Wonderful job! Talk with you soon.

Blag! I ended up clicking on the ad below the comment box rather than the pst comment button. Oh well. I dont mind telling you again that this is awesome! I mean it! I am ALWAYS entranced by rain, and LOVE the imagry you used to describe it. Twas clever of you to ue not just visual but sensational discriptions as well. I love the words and phrases you chose: Gazillion diamonds shower down", "roses embossed with shiny pearls", and of course, ""'Tis a joyous day." I actually use that phrase, and not a few times is it in referance to my delight over falling asleep to or waking to rain. I can go on and on, but instead im just gonna say this deserves the 5/5 im gonna give it, and that I plan to share this on FB so I can show a friend or two. Great, and I mean GREAT work!

That's one of my fav. lines too as it goes on beyond what rain is to what rain is to me.. ... I am ecstatic.. I really love writing about rain and that you like this means that it is good. And I also meant for it to make people happy which it did so yeah,, totally,, literally skipping happy. Thank You. And even though I've watched very few episodes, from all seasons there are Sheldon is one of my favourite characters! That must've been epic, him saying that. I can totally imagine his expressions ..haha....LOve.

A professional writer is an amateur who didn't quit.

This was very pretty and I especially loved the line -with a splash, my sense of touch tingles - great that you took into account the tiniest details of a rainfall! Lol when you said that the same rain falls on very one, I was reminded of Sheldon cooper from the Big Bang theory and that episode in which he looks at some stranger sitting beside him on the public bench in the rain n says 'raindrops. Falling on the head of the brilliant and commoner like you alike' lol I loved that episode :D this poem radiates joy along with raw beauty of rain :)
