This is the Day

This is the day the ground breaks,
Fire pours down from the heavens,
The Earth shudders and quakes,
And ashes rain from the sky.
This is the day fear is no more,
The descending darkness fades to light,
Demons and devils are no longer what's in store,
And pain brings about a new life.
This is the day she finally smiles,
Happiness she has finally reached,
Her body she no longer defiles,
And forever will she rest in peace.
